LFGB

The kitchenware made from teak root is certified food safe according to LFGB. LFGB is the German abbreviation for German Food and Commodities Act, viz. Lebensmittel-, Bedarfsgegenstände- und Futtermittelgesetzbuch. All products and materials that might come into contact with food – so-called Food Contact Materials – are subject of this piece of German legislation. Food Contact materials (FCM) are materials intended to be brought into contact with food.
