Formula milk to support mothers in Ukraine
Partnered with Kidsave Ukraine we donated three pallets of powdered milk for babies in need. Together, we made sure the baby food was delivered to their volunteer office in Nikolaev. There are many families with small children who have returned to the city, and even more who have moved from Kherson and the surrounding areas due to constant shelling. The distribution of this baby food goes quickly, as lots of families lack special supplements for their babies. The Kidsave Ukraine team works tirelessly day and night to get those at risk to safety and to provide meals, necessities, and much-needed aid to those in need.

Candles and food for people in Ukraine
To help the people of Ukraine during the ongoing war, originalhome has sent several pallets of candles and basic food staples. By sending candles, we try to help keep them warm during the very cold winter. Millions of people have been displaced and are forced to live without water, electricity, gass supplies and heating for months. Lots are seeking shelter in basements for long periods, as they live under constant shelling.

Microcredits
One of our ongoing donation programs is microcredits. We aim to help as many small entrepreneurs in remote locations as possible by providing them with microcredit loans and some business support. By doing so, we aim to help people in rural and remote areas grow their small businesses and become self-employed and self-sufficient. This is both beneficial for the people themselves as well as for others from their communities, as it can provide more local work opportunities in the long term.

Food packages for the glass upcyclers from Zanzibar
Although Zanzibar is a fruitful island, after a year of Covid and the lack of tourists on which the people from Zanzibar rely on, all reserves are vanished. Additional food support was needed. Via a special “COVID-19 AID THROUGH TRADE” promotion originalhome generated funds for their Covid Relief Fund for artisans in need. This Covid Relief Fund donated food packages to the glass upcyclers of Zanzibar. Originalhome kept on producing with the sourcing partners during the Covid lockdowns (unless people were not allowed to work) to assure income for the artisans.
2020/2021
Blankets for weavers in Bangladesh
Originalhome donated blankets to the artisans of the handloom workshop in Panchagarh Bangladesh. During the winter it can be very chilly in this area and blankets where needed. The blankest were donated via the Covid Relief Fund for artisans. Originalhome kept on producing with the sourcing partners during the Covid lockdowns (unless people were not allowed to work) to assure income for the artisans.

Food packages for artisans in need in Bangladesh during Covid
Via a special “COVID-19 AID THROUGH TRADE” promotion, originalhome generated funds for their Covid Relief Fund for artisans in need. The BANGLADESH promotion generated an equivalent of 10.000 kg rice for the jobless artisans of the handloom workshop in Panchagarh Bangladesh. Together with our customers and the donations of generous private supporters of the cause, many jobless artisans received their weekly donation for basic necessities during the Corona period. Originalhome kept on producing with the sourcing partners during the Covid lockdowns.
