Waste Wood

Waste wood is used for accent furniture such as benches, stools and coffee tables. This wood is from naturally fallen trees, such as Mango, Acacia, Mahogany, Teak, Borneo/Kruing wood, Pine and other Javanese wood. No tree is harmed in the process.

Low impact sourcing & production process

1. Recycled waste wood

The wood for waste wood products originally comes from old houses, barns, boats or trucks. Antique remnants such as nails, screws, bolts, holes and filled cavities join other imperfections that tell a story about its past. The use of recycled wood saves trees!

2. Traditionally handmade

After collecting the wood, it is sorted by dimension and assembled into furniture. The production process happens by hand or with simple tools using traditional methods of construction. For the finish, our supplier uses a water-based, non-toxic clear coat.

Creating job opportunities

From harvesting until the end product, the entire process is executed by hand and/or with the support of simple traditional tools. Multiple people have to be involved, which means more jobs and income for the rural communities.
